Disclosure
We have been working in the stationery industry for over 20 years now, and have established a good reputation for being open and honest. With our new venture Nanosphere we aim to continue in the same way, and we want to be clear about how we work. We are fully independent and are proud to have our own opinion and stick to it, to focus on products and places that we like and only write about them because we like them and want to share them. That said, we would also seek to make money out of this if possible as it funds Nanosphere and allows us to keep going. Simple as that.
So on this website and in our emails and other communications we will aim to transparent about who we are working with and how we are collaborating with them. In some cases we may not be getting paid at all, we are just sharing our like of something or somewhere because we want to.
In all cases, if we are paid then it will always be by the retailer or manufacturer and not you.
Here is a quick summary of the ways in which we might work with other brands:
- Affiliate Links – these links allow us to earn a small commission from any sales are made as a result of our content. You don’t pay a penny more, it is the retailer who pays us an agreed commission, typically around 5-10%. If an affiliate link has been used, it will be clearly identified with the term affiliate link. Some widgets may also use affiliate links.
- Sponsored Post – if we have been paid to produce content on our website or social media channels then this will be clearly labelled as a sponsored post.
- Gifted – if we have been sent a product or been given an experience then this will be stated at the beginning of the post.
- Previous relationships – if we have had a previous relationship with any brand then we will make this clear regardless of whether we have purchased an item with our own money.
If you have any questions or concerns about our disclosure of collaborations then please get in touch with us.
