Everyone seems to love maps so I have pulled together the best of the best map themed stationery items available now.
What is it about a map that gives us such pleasure? Why do we still love stationery? The answers might explain why map themed stationery is so popular. I have explored the idea of paper maps being better than GPS in a separate post. I have always felt that maps give us a sense of security, a sense of control over a world that might seem uncertain or unknown. If you add in the historical factor then maps also provide a sense of places lost and rediscovered. Or the exotic factor of places yet to be discovered. It might help explain why map themed stationery is so popular, since it combines this love of maps with the desire for something tactile in stationery.
